I Cased Myself

Todays inspiration challenge on Splitcoast (IC129) was to pick one of three Schumacher advertisements and make a card inspired by that advertisement. I chose the one with beautiful greens and browns.

I wanted to use a lot of patterns like the inspiration so I borrowed a layout from my past.

Papers: (Clockwise from top left heart) Crate Paper, American Crafts (yep, same paper as the last post), paper from the justjohanna LE Ladies Dancing Bright kit, My Mind's Eye Bohemia, I don't know the maker of the embossed white paper but it's called Vine Cream and the striped paper is Heidi Grace. Ribbon: Bo Bunny. Stamps: SU Mon Ami set.

Harvest Hello (A Little Early)

I have lots of cards and things to share but I am sworn to secrecy until June 1st. {Teaser} In the meantime, this is a card that I made using the justjohanna Lacy Circle stamped several times onto yellow checked paper and folded to make a flower. Then, I just added a silk flower and a justjohanna Harvest Hello sentiment.

More Fun With Security Envelopes

It's amazing that even with all the patterned paper I am hoarding, I still keep dipping into the pile of security envies for my cards.

Dymo label sentiment, justjohanna Flora Hugabundous, SU French Blue Ink, security envelopes and several layers of cardstock.

Yum Yum Strawberries

I made both of these cards with the justjohanna Strawberry Topiary stamp, but I think they have totally different looks to them.

For the first one, I used markers and pencils to match the DCWV paper. I even added Stickles to the strawberries like the sparkle on the paper. I used scalloped scissors to create the circle, added green velvet ribbon and Dymo labels.

For the next card, I wanted it to have a more sophisticated look so I colored the strawberries a bolder red and green and placed on black and white patterned paper and added a black satin ribbon and the justjohanna Thank You sentiment.

Challenge Kit Swap Cards

This month I participated in a fun swap at the Stamp Shack. My partner Chris and I made each other 3 kits with an image, paper and embellishments. I only added cardstock, ribbon and markers to make my cards. This was a real challenge for me because the kits were outside of my comfort zone. Anyways, here are my cards:

Wonderland Part 2

I just loved playing with the die cuts from Daisy D designed by Stephanie Dosreis.

The tag I made came together very easily. I distressed the edges, added ribbon with colored staples and stamped justjohanna Created For You By with pink ink to match the flowers on the die cut.

I love the fun, bright colors of the die cuts so I made this card with some colors that I wouldn't usually think to put together. I used 3 (Dance, play and make believe) of the many sentiments in the pack with punched out cardstock and justjohanna Five Petal Flower and Shadow.

Daisy D Wonderland Part 1

I've been a fan of Daisy D's for a long time now but I am a new fan of Stephanie Dosreis'. She is an amazing artist. Everything is fun and vibrant and full of surprises. She has collaborated her talents with Daisy D's and they have produced really fun papers and die cuts. These are the first two cards that I made with the Daisy D Wonderland die cuts.

For the top one I added some penwork and justjohanna stamps.
On this one I added some vintage sheet music on the bottom and stamped the blue background with justjohanna Scrolly Border.

My new white cardstock is photographing really poopy. This is a bummer.
Anyways, I think this is a funny card. I used justjohanna Brody Drummer No Drum, Lacy Circle and You Rock with Harley Davidson flame paper.

Outfit Insprired Card

I was on the playground at work one day and I thought that the little outfit on one of the 1st graders would make a cute card. As soon as we came inside, I sketched out my card with crayons.
justjohanna Waltzing Mathilda alphabet (it comes unmounted and it's a great deal and easy to work with), ribbon, Martha Stewart eyelet paper, various markers and cardstock.
