I love making buntings, especially out of vintage sheets so I was so excited when I saw OWH's sketch #101. I made my card out of lots of flowery papers that remind me of vintage sheets.

A patriotic banner

I just love making these festive buntings. I made this one a little different. I used a lot of vintage fabrics (I love the bicentinial one) plus some fabric samples. I used red and blue vintage bias tape on the top. And, it's a bit longer than I usually do so I had to swag it. It's hanging over my kitchen widow that looks out to my flag.

I'll be back in a couple days for an Independence Day tour of my home, including the table runner I made to match the patriotic banner.

I orignially made this ATC for my friend Heather whose birthday is the 4th of July. But, I think the message works today for U.S. Veteran's Day. I have 3 cousins currently serving in the military so my heart is with all those who serve. I found this little list of opportunities to help boost the moral of our servicemen and women. Some of them sound like great family and classroom projects.
